What is alpaca?
This precious material comes from the wool of alpaca, a subspecies of llama native to South America. Evolving in particularly cool conditions, alpaca produces a fiber that is much finer and more insulating than conventional wool. Once a year, the alpacas are sheared and thus rid of their 2.5kg of wool on average. This wool is then washed and combed before being spun. Our traditional manufacturing process allows us to preserve all the properties of this precious wool. Our alpaca socks are silky, light, warm and do not pilling after washing. They keep your feet dry in wet weather thanks to the hydrophobic properties of their material. Moreover, alpaca is a hypoallergenic wool, which allows us to satisfy the most sensitive skins. Fall for the incomparable comfort of Bleuforêt quality alpaca socks and live your winter differently!
