What is cashmere wool?

A rare and precious material, cashmere is a wool from cashmere goats. Originally from the Tibetan plateau, this breed of goats has developed a dense, insulating and very resistant wool. Six times finer than a hair, cashmere wool has the power to resist extreme temperatures. Particularly soft, cashmere contracts when washed and then returns to its original shape when dried, a natural process that makes it resistant to pilling. Cashmere is a hypoallergenic wool as it does not contain lanolin, which makes it ideal for sensitive skin.
